This bill (H.R. 3200) is purely about putting the government in charge of YOUR healthcare. If it was not then why does it take 1017 pages to legislate? You can find a copy of H.R. 3200 Here.

How can Obama and our Congressmen expect us to buy into this new health care reform when none of them have read the bill? Many of the Senators have even admitted to not reading it. How many of us in the private sector could get away without reading importnant documetation that would have a direct impact on the companies bottom line?

The CBO estimates that about 10 million individuals who would be covered through an employer’s plan under current law would not have access to that coverage under the draft legislation because some employers would choose not to offer it.

“If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.”

Under the Kennedy-Dodd bill, that is simply not true for at least 10 million people. And the same will be true for any other bill that levels the playing field between employer-based and individually-purchased health insurance, which means any bill that offers subsidies to buy insurance outside of your job. You cannot avoid this problem. The mistake is not the unavoidable policy consequence. The mistake was making a Presidential promise that cannot be kept.

The public option will have to be to be funded by the tax payers. Even if we assume that it will be run by intelligent government workers there is no guarantee that we will reduce costs over the current health care system. Look no further to the quasi- government run Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. How have these two behemoths worked out for us? So what this means is that people will be able to keep their private insurance plans but they will still have to pay into the public plan. Thus the correct statement would be that “You can still keep your private insurance as long as you are willing to pay the feds extra for it.”

We need real reform whichneeds to start with removing the government from the system altogether. The States need to open the legislative roadblocks that prevent outside insurers coming into their states. Any time you impose a limit on your competion, pricing and choices will suffer. I should be able to buy a health care plan for my family at a reasonable cost no matter where I live. Let everyone be responsible for maintaining there own plan.

Oh, and if you are in this country illegally, don’t bother applying for health care coverage.

President Barack Obama intends on cracking down on drug and gun trafficking between the US and Mexico.

So far this whole Mexican gun problem is being portrayed by the press as guns coming from the US into Mexico by the truckloads. In actuality this could be further from the truth.

By strengthening border patrols and cooperation between U.S. and Mexican officials, the President believes would help solve the problem with cross-border crime.

So, now the President and our officials think there may be a problem with border patrol? Give me a break! How long has this been going on? Haven’t we been discussing illegal immigration for at least 20 years now. And why are we so concerned with Mexico’s gun problem. We need to beef up our own police force in and around the the US cities that border Mexico. let the Mexican officials deal with their own drug cartels. Why are we being so reactive to this situation instead of proactive?

On his most recent trip to Mexico, Obama says

“I will not pretend that this is Mexico’s responsibility alone. The demand for these drugs in the United States is what’s helping keep these cartels in business,” Mr. Obama said at a joint news conference with Mr. Calderon. “This war is being waged with guns purchased not here, but in the United States. More than 90 percent of the guns recovered in Mexico come from the United States, many from gun shops that line our shared border.”

According to FOXNews:

“But in fact, only 17 percent of guns found at Mexican crime scenes have been traced to the U.S.

An ATF spokeswoman told FOXNews.com earlier this month in a clarification of the statistic used by her own agency’s assistant director “that over 90 percent of the traced firearms originate from the U.S.”

But a large percentage of the guns recovered in Mexico do not get sent back to the U.S. for tracing because it is obvious from their markings that they do not come from the U.S.

This to me seems a little supicious. Once again you have the drive by media and the democrats trying to build their case against gun control. Maybe if we had been a little more concerned about our borders 20 years ago, Mexico and the US would not be in this situation.

So, Obama performs a full bow when greeting the King of Saudi Arabia and the media just glosses over this as showing respect for another leader. This is not the custom in Saudi Arabia nor is it proper etiquette especially from the President of the United States.
In 2005 when George W. Bush held Abdullah’s hand the media was all over it. Brian Williams with NBC brought it up directly on the Nightly News. David Letterman on CBS even featured it on his-

“Top 10 Thoughts Going Through Pres.Bush’s Mind at This Moment”

#1. “I’m officially the gayest President since Lincoln.”

In Arab society it is actually common for men who are friends to hold hands while they talk. It’s a gesture of respect. Bowing however is not a gesture of respect and is not common in Arab society. It is common however among Muslims. Hmmm? Makes you think.

How can people say the media is not biased and slanted when obviously the two Presidents are treated so differently. President Bush was shown no respect by the liberal drive by media.

Let’s take a look at Obama’s voting record while in the Illinois Senate. (since 2005).

From 3/17/05 to 10/01/08

President Obama was either absent, excused or not present for 51 out of 141 votes on the budget, spending and taxes. Where was he and why didn’t he vote? Maybe, just maybe he didn’t vote because he didn’t what in the world a “profit to earnings ratio” was.

Where is this 1 Trillion dollars going to be coming from to stabilize the world economic system? I just thought of a new way we can produce some more jobs. At the rate we are printing money we are going to need a few more printing presses. This should at least add 1,000 more jobs to the economy and really get things back on track.

Well, you can’t say we didn’t see this coming. According to World Net Daily, Obama is officially seeking Muslims for the White House. I guess we could call it the Muslim Revitalization Act of 2009.

Of course all of this has been flying under the radar. Doesn’t look like any news coverage on it yet. The move began with Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn, who took his oath of office with a hand on the Quran.

Does this bother anyone else or is it just me? I don’t care what anyone’s religious affiliate is – to each their own. BUT when you start basing your decisions on hiring staff for government offices based off of that religious affiliation I do have a major problem with it.

So far, 45 Ivy League grads, Fortune 500 executives and government officials have been submitted for consideration.
