Today, Senate Democrats in the Finance Committee rejected a
Republican move to require that the full text of the Baucus
government-controlled healthcare bill be posted for 72 hours
prior to a vote.

Democrats are fast-tracking the bill through committee,
insisting that Senators vote on the bill WITHOUT seeing
the actual language of the legislation.

In fact, Democrats were making their point by mocking those who
wanted to actually READ the bill before voting!

Sen. Kerry said, “Legislative language is relatively
arcane, very legalistic, and most people don’t read the
legislative language.”

THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!

Especially since it is clear that ObamaCare is really nothing
more than a cover for a massive takeover of huge sectors of our
economy that transfers power to the Obama Administration!

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama’s “Green Jobs Czar” Van Jones resigned late last night after immense pressure over his socialist history was uncovered. It was first first exposed in WND.

The last straw for Jones was being caught on tape in an expletive-packed rant, directly attacking Republicans in the Senate who he said abused their majority position in the past to push legislation through. He admitted after the statements were released that the comments were “inappropriate” and “offensive.”

“They do not reflect the experience I have had since joining the administration,” Jones said in the statement. -So, he’s been with the administration for what? a few months and now all of a sudden his his experiences have changed? What a two faced liar!

Jones was also linked late last week to efforts suggesting a government role in the Sept. 11 terror attacks and to derogatory comments about Republicans. Ok, I don’t really care about the disparaging remarks towards Republicans. God knows they deserve it too. Jones, like Obama believe we caused the 911 attacks and for that both of them need to be shipped overseas where there loyalties lie.

When the White House press corps grilled White House press secretary Robert Gibbs about Jones on Friday, a reporter asked how the administration could reject “conspiracy theories” about his birth certificate while employing someone who previously charged the U.S. government with masterminding Sept. 11.

Glenn Beck’s Common Sense: The Case Against an Out-of-Control Government, Inspired by Thomas Paine

Gibbs said only that Jones “continues to work in the administration,” a non-ringing endorsement that set the stage for his ouster. Jones’ name appeared on a petition calling for congressional hearings and other investigations into whether high-level government officials had orchestrated the 9/11attacks.

Jones is just another example of Obama appointing radicals to his cabinet of Czars. These Czars are not accountable to anyone but Obama and this is very scary. They are not elected by the people and congress has no control over them. Talking about a prelude to Socialism! this is what the beginning stages look like.

ENDA (H.R. 2981 -hr-3017-enda – S. 1584) has been changed from the “gay-only” version the House passed in 2007 to include language banning job discrimination based on “gender identity” as well as sexual orientation – complete with special protections for the transgendered. It would mean your child’s teacher, if he were a male but “felt” like a female, could go into the women’s bathroom.

ENDA is aimed at providing heightened protections for a particular sexual behavior – homosexuality. It would grant special consideration on the basis of “sexual orientation” that would not be extended to other employees in the workplace.

ENDA violates employers’ and employees’ Constitutional freedoms of religion, speech and association. The proposed legislation would prohibit employers from taking their deeply held beliefs into account when making personnel decisions. This would pose an unprecedented intrusion by the federal government into people’s lives.

ENDA would approvingly bring private behavior considered imoral by many into the public square. By declaring that all sexual preferences are equally valid, ENDA would change national policy supporting marriage and family.

HRC claims that ENDA does not apply to religious organizations, but the 2007 version of the law only provided a religious exemption for religious positions that were involved in actual teaching or proclamation of doctrine.

Such a limited exemption, some pro-family legal experts argue, would mean that a Christian school that was hiring a secretary, janitor or football coach would not be allowed to reject a homosexual who applied for the slot.

Christian concerns about ENDA are not paranoia. As with the case of hate crime laws, when ENDA-style measures have been passed in other places around the world, religious institutions quickly come under pressure.

ENDA is just one of many ways that gay activists are manipulating law and policy to force Americans to endorse their lifestyle and to muzzle and punish those who disagree.

President Barack Obama intends on cracking down on drug and gun trafficking between the US and Mexico.

So far this whole Mexican gun problem is being portrayed by the press as guns coming from the US into Mexico by the truckloads. In actuality this could be further from the truth.

By strengthening border patrols and cooperation between U.S. and Mexican officials, the President believes would help solve the problem with cross-border crime.

So, now the President and our officials think there may be a problem with border patrol? Give me a break! How long has this been going on? Haven’t we been discussing illegal immigration for at least 20 years now. And why are we so concerned with Mexico’s gun problem. We need to beef up our own police force in and around the the US cities that border Mexico. let the Mexican officials deal with their own drug cartels. Why are we being so reactive to this situation instead of proactive?

On his most recent trip to Mexico, Obama says

“I will not pretend that this is Mexico’s responsibility alone. The demand for these drugs in the United States is what’s helping keep these cartels in business,” Mr. Obama said at a joint news conference with Mr. Calderon. “This war is being waged with guns purchased not here, but in the United States. More than 90 percent of the guns recovered in Mexico come from the United States, many from gun shops that line our shared border.”

According to FOXNews:

“But in fact, only 17 percent of guns found at Mexican crime scenes have been traced to the U.S.

An ATF spokeswoman told FOXNews.com earlier this month in a clarification of the statistic used by her own agency’s assistant director “that over 90 percent of the traced firearms originate from the U.S.”

But a large percentage of the guns recovered in Mexico do not get sent back to the U.S. for tracing because it is obvious from their markings that they do not come from the U.S.

This to me seems a little supicious. Once again you have the drive by media and the democrats trying to build their case against gun control. Maybe if we had been a little more concerned about our borders 20 years ago, Mexico and the US would not be in this situation.

The tragic shootings that have recently occurred in Pittsburgh have been spun by the liberal media into yet another failed attempt to sway public opinion towards their Leftist, socialist anti-Second Amendment agenda.

And some members of the press have even blamed conservative talk radio, hosts like Glenn Beck and the Fox News Channel for the murder of three policemen in Pittsburgh, Pa.

CNN’s Rick Sanchez actually said “That weekend tragedy involves a man who allegedly shot and killed three police officers in cold blood. Why? Because he was convinced, after no doubt watching Fox News and listening to right-wing radio, that quote, ‘Our rights were being infringed upon.’”

The liberal media’s Worst Person in the World – Keith Olbermann – obnoxiously chimed in with “You, Glenn Beck, you personally are encouraging Americans to shoot other Americans.”

And since the first murderous attack, the press have been marching in lockstep, beating the drums for their liberal anti-gun agenda. The universal media message in this country is: Guns are bad. And responsible, reasonable citizens need to make the world a better place by surrendering their firearms in the name of “public safety.” – How has that been working for England lately? With hundreds of millions of guns in the US, do you really think that by taking a few guns away from people that this is going to solve our problem?

The liberal media are shamelessly using these tragic shootings to advance their anti-Second Amendment objectives. They look for crises they can exploit to try and sway people in there most vulnerable moments. It really is just sickening.

With an onslaught of anti-gun stories and cries for ever more government gun control dominating the network news shows, the media are relentlessly pushing to completely undermine our Second Amendment rights.

I have an idea. Keith Olbermann and Rick Sanchez, since you obviously don’t respect our Second Amendment rights why don’t you get the hell out of OUR country.

Is this just getting ridiculous or what? Let me get this straight. The insurance companies say they have healthy balance sheets and they are well capitalized but they want the federal governments bailout. Is anyone else out there a little scared of the message that this is going to send to the markets?

Once again our politicians in Washington do not have a clue. They are literally spending this country into a much deeper and longer lasting recession if not a full blow depression.

What’s going to be the price tag for this one? 100 billion more in already spread thin TARP funds? It appears that this spend and print money mentality is here to stay.

I’m predicting congress to get back together for a new vote on the TARP II funds. Let’s see how quickly the salaries and the bonuses get capped. Which CEO’s are going to be fired? – This whole thing is like a bad dream with no chance of waking up.

Senate Bill 773 and 778 introduced by, introduced by Senator Jay Rockefeller, D-W.V., are being called the Cybersecurity Act of 2009, which would create a new Office of the National Cybersecurity Advisor(just what we need an Internet Czar), reportable directly to the president and is supposedly responsible for defending the country from cyber attack. I have a feeling that it is going to be like Big Brother watching over all of us.

A working draft of the legislation obtained by an Internet privacy group also indicates future plans to grant the Secretary of Commerce access to all privately owned information networks deemed to be critical to the nation’s infrastructure “without regard to any provision of law, regulation, rule or policy restricting such access.”

I don’t know about you but I don’t like giving the President and his cronies this much power. This flies in the face of our Constitution and severly restricts the rights of private citizens and private business. But what’s new? Our Constitional Rights have been slowly taken away for a long time. At some point the people will either capitulate or rise against the tyranny.

I guess it’s official now that Gov. Mark Sanford has accepted $700 Billion in Federal Stimulus funds. I applaud Sanford for holding out this long and admire him for having the courage to stand up for Washington. However, I wish that he had not caved in to the political pressures. It’s hard to imagine what the pressures of his decision were but I fear that his acceptance of these funds will do his political career great harm.

The SC Attorney General issued an opinion that only the Governor could request the money. A massive rally was held on the statehouse grounds Wednesday afternoon encouraging the Governor to take the money. Then on Thursday the Senate spent most of its session debating the action, or inaction, of the Governor on the stimulus budget and its impact on the state budget.

Governor Sanford said he wants and intends to use all of the stimulus money. However, he says he will not exercise his power to use the money until state lawmakers agree to spend the entire $700 million of the $2.8 billion federal stimulus package on state debt repayment. The question I have is exactly what sort of strings will be attached to this money by the federal government? Will we end up like GM or AIG? I fear that this will be the case. In the long run this is going to do far more harm to our school systems and way of life. This action will set a precedent with far reaching repercussions.

Sanford will only be able to accomplish his goal in two ways. The first is to ignore two letters from the Obama administration that specifically said the federal money could not be used for debt repayment. The second is to take the $700 billion out of the state budget for debt repayment and then replace the same budget funds with federal stimulus money.

Do ordinary people in South Carolina not understand that this $700 billion is just not a free gift? These are funds that will put this state into deeper debt. Sometimes you have to sacrifice in order to gain. We live in a society where all we want is “more” and we don’t care that we have to borrow from our grandchildren to get it.

Well, you can’t say we didn’t see this coming. According to World Net Daily, Obama is officially seeking Muslims for the White House. I guess we could call it the Muslim Revitalization Act of 2009.

Of course all of this has been flying under the radar. Doesn’t look like any news coverage on it yet. The move began with Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn, who took his oath of office with a hand on the Quran.

Does this bother anyone else or is it just me? I don’t care what anyone’s religious affiliate is – to each their own. BUT when you start basing your decisions on hiring staff for government offices based off of that religious affiliation I do have a major problem with it.

So far, 45 Ivy League grads, Fortune 500 executives and government officials have been submitted for consideration.
